So, joining what it seems to be everyone else these days, I created a tumblr account - http://anaidrabbit.tumblr.com/. No idea what I`m going to do with it, though. Post obnoxiously random youtube videos? Feel free to follow me, if you´d like to.
Does anyone think that Sookie from True Blood is a bit of a Mary Sue? I mean, she survives impossible odds, has a speshful power, used to be pure and virginal, is able to be sassy to creatures who could rip her apart in a second if they wanted to and on top of that it seems every major male character has the hots for her, in a way or another.
You know, for the first episodes of S1 Anna Paquin really made me like the character, like there was something flawed and authentic there but as of lately she seems much more bland, generic and clearly set up for a series of neverending romantic triangles. Show needs more Pam.
So... I`m back from my self imposed exile in the Sims fandom corner of eljay. I guess True Blood made me come out of my hole and start organizing the complete mess that`s this old supposedly main journal of mine.
I`ve missed many people from the HP fandom and from my other pre-Sims fandoms, much more than I realized while being away all this time. I just hope you either haven´t completely forgotten that I once existed or won`t hold the absence of a "not dead" post now and then against me.
Almost done with Avatar, have yet to watch the finale. Loved it to bits and pieces though I`m afraid, overall, I didn`t like season 3 as much as 2. The third season was worth it though, if only for Ember Island Players.
So it seems EA is pretty much offering people money (permanent accounts) in order to advertise Sims3. This whole thing makes me uneasy and the way EA is such tight buds with TSR doesn`t make me very willing about engaging in such transactions with them.
In related news, someone at GOS was able to play the game a month earlier and posted their review of it - it seems they improved in some aspects (CAS, much more traits to choose from) while dumbing down gameplay itself. I guess that will appeal mostly to casual or non Sims2 players. Just hope EA didn`t entirely forget they were developing a *game* and not just a super advanced pixelated people creator.
